The Bairrada Wine Tour is composed by 28 venues to visit, between cellars, wineries and vineyards, where you can know in deeper detail the production, storage and of course taste the Bairrada wines. From the Bairrada Wine Tour we highlight: Luis Pato Wines, Caves Aliança, Caves Messias.

The Bairrada vineyards region is limited by the urban centres of Águeda and Coimbra, with a total area of 108.000 ha which 12.000 are fully dedicated to the Bairrada wine production. Bairrada wine is worldwide famous especially for the sparkling wines, both white and rosé. Although the Bairrada region also produces red and white wines, the red wine distinguishes by its smoothness and suavity, deep in colour and full-bodied; and the white ones fairly robust with a hint of lemon.

Bairrada Wine Museum

Open from Tuesday to Sunday, the Bairrada Wine Museum has a permanent public exhibition called “Wine Trail”, where you can see documentation, the grapes from the Bairrada Quality Wine Region and also an extended show of artefacts related to the wine production. Besides the grand exhibition another 6 thematic rooms are available to visit with elements dated from XVIII century to XX century, dedicated to: Grapes; Grapes harvest; Wine production: cellars and wineries; Wine production: Sparkling wine, tasting and tour.
The Museum has also a Shop were you can taste and buy some of your favourite Bairrada wines.
